Isaiah 54:2| ““Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.”

Today we will look at the first part of this verse, “enlarge the place of your tent”. The Spirit is speaking to you today about spiritual growth. Spiritual growth isn’t when you know all the Bible. It is not when you have been going to church for a large number of years or measured by how much you “do” for the Lord. 

There is one very important way to measure spiritual growth and it’s this: LOVE. In 1 Corinthians 13 Paul has a lot to say about it. In fact he says you can do all these amazing “spiritual” things but if you don’t have love then nothing else really matters. 

I know many of us have been hurt by others, honestly….who hasn’t? We all have been disappointed a time or two or three or a thousand! You may find it hard to love others. But I will share two vital keys to spiritual growth: love and forgiveness. Without these two it will be impossible to grow spiritually. You will stay stagnant and unfruitful. Today ask Holy Spirit to arm you with the mighty weapons of warfare: love and forgiveness. 

Holy Spirit, let love be my shield and forgiveness my fortress. Amen.
