Let Christ Be Your Glory

Colossians 1:27 NIV | “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

In the beginning, Adam and Eve had the glory of God as their covering. But when they sinned, the glory left them and they tried to cover their nakedness with leaves. God, however, realized that the leaves could not cover them properly, and that they were not glorious, so, He made a garment from an animal skin and covered them with it. (Genesis 3:21) The animal is presumed to be a lamb, which is symbolic of Jesus Christ. He is the lamb of God that was slain before the foundation of the world, to take away the sins of the world. He is our only hope of glory.

Your life may feel somewhat empty and colourless. It may feel cyclical and stagnated. But hey, don’t try to make things up in your life. Don’t try to fill up the emptiness. Christ is in you. He is your sufficiency. He is your hope and assurance of sharing in God’s glory. Receive Him afresh today. Allow Him overwhelm and overshadow you.
