Led By The Holy Spirit (1)

You may have noticed my absence from Prayer Connect since yesterday. It’s deliberate. I felt the need in my spirit to pull back a bit and take a break. This will give me some time to meditate and reflect and re-confirm that I’m doing exactly what the Holy Spirit wants me to do; that I’m not overstepping His boundaries for me.

You see, when you’re walking with the Holy Spirit, He defines some boundaries for you; areas you shouldn’t venture into; things you shouldn’t do.

For instance, Jesus never left Palestine during His earthly ministry. He was constrained to the lost sheep of Israel. Peter was sent to the Jews. Paul to the Gentiles.

The boundaries of the Spirit are real. At one time, Paul wanted to get into some places to preach the gospel, but the lord wouldn’t let him.

Acts 16:6-8 NIV
[6] Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. [7] When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. [8] So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.

People of the Spirit do not cross the boundaries defined by the Holy Spirit for them.

I fear I might not be fully submitting to the boundaries of the Holy Spirit for me. I’m not sent to everyone. I’m not sent to say or do everything. I am under strict vows and constraints and I desire to stay within those boundaries.

I’ve asked our church family to pray for me. And now, I ask all Blissful People everywhere to pray for Rev Wildfire. I’m not perfect by any stretch of the imaginations. I’m often weak and fail to strictly abide by the constraints of the Holy Spirit. But with the help of the Holy Spirit, and your sincere prayers as well, I’ll make it.

I’m praying for you too.

And, this morning, let us pray for one another. May the Lord Himself help us to submit absolutely to Him in all things. In Jesus name. 🙏
