Led By The Holy Spirit (7)

Proverbs 14:12 KJV
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

That it seems right to you, doesn’t mean it’s really right for you on the long run. What seems right to you today —a marriage decision, a career choice, a business investment—may turn out to be the worst decision tomorrow.

It may appear reasonably and logically okay to your mind, but still be a deadly satanic trap that will eventually destroy your life.

So, human reason and logic are not reliable guides in the journey of life.

1 Corinthians 4:4 NIV
My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.

That your conscience is clear doesn’t mean you’re innocent.

Your conscience might be clear as you embark on that action, only for you to discover later that it was a terrible thing to do.

So, conscience too is not a dependable guide in the journey of life.

The only true and dependable guide is the Holy Spirit Himself.

John 16:13 NIV
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

May the Holy Spirit Himself guide you into all the truth. May He show you what is yet to come. In Jesus name.
