Self-discovery happens when you spend time with yourself. Learn to spend quality time with yourself. You are your own best friend. Unfortunately, most folks don’t realize this. They would rather spend time with other people than spend it alone with themselves. They would rather spend more time visiting and chatting with other folks than spend the same amount of time in quiet meditation. Little wonder they can’t create. Little wonder nothing changes in their lives.
You can’t create when you spend the bulk of your time hanging out with other people. You can’t produce when you fail to hang out with yourself. Please understand this: The moment you learn to spend quality time with yourself, you will begin to create. Because true creation, true transformation of the external world is simply a by-product of the evolution of self. As your person evolves to higher versions of your being, your world changes correspondingly. Your environment starts to change; your experiences take on a new color; you move to higher heights.
It is impossible for the world around you to remain the same every time you change. It is impossible for your circumstances to remain the same every time you evolve. And personal evolution only occurs when you spend time with yourself. As you spend time alone with yourself in quiet meditation, you begin to discover your latent abilities. You begin to discover the god within you. Your self-awareness increases. You experience self-discovery and your whole being evolves. Consequently, your environment changes to match the new you.
So cultivate the important habit of spending quality time with yourself. As you do this, you will experience self-discovery, and true transformation will characterize your life, your world and your experiences.
