So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” ~ Acts 3:5,6
A lot of times people expect us to give what we don’t have; to be what we are not. And if you give in to such pressure you become fake.
Don’t do it.
Instead, like Peter, push back against such expectations. Give only what you have. Be yourself. Keep it real.
And may the Holy Spirit free you from the burden of fake living. May He grant you the wisdom and courage to be yourself with no apologies.
