While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Did you notice what they were doing when the Holy Spirit spoke to them?

They were worshiping the Lord and fasting.

They were not gossiping about the latest scandal in town. They were not debating the latest thorny issue in politics. They were not hanging out with ungodly company that mocks the Lord and His people.

No.

Instead, they were worshiping the Lord and fasting. They were hanging out with fellow God-fearing men, honoring the Lord and seeking His face.

And this is what all Blissful People of the Holy Spirit must do today. All over the world, let us fast today. No food. And let us worship the Lord.

The Holy Spirit is precious. The living word of God is priceless. Today, as we worship Him and fast, may we see, touch, and hear the Holy Spirit in a very personal way. In Jesus name.

All Blissful People must separate ourselves today from the noise and clutter of sinfulness and worldliness. As you go about your activities today, avoid unnecessary distractions that will sabotage today’s worship and fast.

Maintain an attitude of prayer. Keep reflecting on today’s scripture verse. And all through the day, keep thinking, whispering and saying the following prayer:

“Dear Holy Spirit, please reveal yourself to me, speak to me and touch me in a new way. In Jesus name.”
