Recently, during a communion service, one of us said something that caught my attention. She was leading the communion service and she made a statement that stuck with me. She said that Christ has sanctified us; He has made us righteousness. And I want you to know that the One who made you righteousness in the spirit can make you righteous in your mind, and make you righteous in your body.
Come to God in prayer, and instead of justifying the sin, call it what it is. Rather than rationalizing it, and saying it’s a wrong habit, weakness, exaggeration, affair, or whatever fanciful names you can come up with, confess it as the sin that it is.
Present yourself to God in prayer, and say “God help me.” It is possible for you to go from Monday to Sunday, January to December, and not even think of sin, and not even be tempted by it. But if you think it’s not possible, and you’re listening to all these preachers of today who are just preaching money, you will land in hell. If you continue to listen to these modern teachings, you will go to hell. Because what these pastors are doing is that they’re sending people to hell.
“In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because we are like Him in this world.”
~1 John 4:17
Don’t listen to anybody who justifies sin. Just turn to God in prayer. Devote yourself to prayer everyday, and let God give you the strength. And you can walk in this life the way Jesus walked, because as He is so are we in this world. So why not bow down your head right now in prayer, and begin to pray.
Memory Verse:
1 Thessalonians5:23
“May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ .”Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I pray that You will sanctify me in my mind and body. Deliver me from sin and temptation.
Amen.
