As a christian, it is important that you pray and continue to pray. Faithfulness in prayer is a dominant feature of a successful relationship with God.
Recently, our ministry concluded a 28-day Fast. And I instructed my members not to relax; rather, they should maintain the same attitude of prayer they acquired during the Fast. I let them know that to ease off on prayer will be a very unwise thing to do.
Now, why is faithfulness in prayer important?
“They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain in true to the faith. ‘We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,’ they said.”
~Acts 14:22
God has called you to glory, honour, and distinction; that’s what the kingdom of God is all about. But the pathway to that glory is fraught with difficulties and challenges. It’s tough; it is not for the faint- hearted; it is not for the weakling; it is not for the timid; it is not for the fearful. Regrettably, not much attention is paid to the concept of hardship, suffering and pain along the path to greatness. This is an aspect of a christian’s walk with God that is not emphasized today in churches
Actually, Jesus Christ said:
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there that find it.”
~Matthew 7:13-14
The path to life is a strait, narrow, challenging and tough road. So, it is very important that you continually draw strength from God in prayer in order to successfully walk this path to glory.
I pray that you will remain faithful in prayer today and for the rest of your life.

Thank you O Lord, for calling me to glory and immortality. Enable me to be faithful in prayer so that I can successfully walk the tough road that will lead me to my destination in You, in Jesus’ name. Amen
