Recently been increasing my spiritual exercises of fasting, praying, giving and staying up during the watches of the night. After the initial excitement wore off, I noticed I was no longer as consistent as I was in the beginning. And the Holy Spirit reminded me: It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Rewards await you when you persist.
Luke 6:12 NKJV | “Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.”
Fasting, praying, watching through the night was a lifestyle for Jesus while on earth. It wasn’t something He did for a few weeks and then He relaxed. Many are called but few are chosen. It is not enough to start, you must be consistent. You have to persist because God rewards those who do not give up.(Galatians 6:9)
So, as you go through your own journey of metamorphosis, receive grace to persist in these spiritual exercises. Receive help from the Holy Spirit to be consistent so you can generate the amount of power that takes you from one level of glory to another. Bliss be with you.
