1 Timothy 6:9 NIV “Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.”
Wealth is desirable. I’m sure you would prefer to have lots of it. Everyone wants to enjoy financial abundance; freedom from economic suffering and lack.
Yet, most people on this planet will end up poor; because they just want to get rich—maybe so they can show off, look down on others and squander it on selfishness.
On top of that, they are unwilling to create anything of value for their fellow human beings.
Besides, true wealth is not even a matter of cash or material possessions anyway. Instead, how is your existence making life better for others? What value are you adding to this world? How are you making your environment sweeter, happier and healthier?
Today I’ll ask you to take a moment and reflect on the life you’re living. Listen to the Holy Spirit within you. Listen for how He wants to use you to make others better. Ask Him to use you to create something special for those around you.
Stop running around like a rat, chasing after cash and possessions. Instead use your mind, your time, and efforts to bring health, freedom, happiness to others. This is how to become truly wealthy.
