passion of the christWhen God decided to redeem you (= buy you back), He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to the cross to die for you. This reveals how much you’re worth in God’s eyes. It means that you are worth the life of God’s only Son, Jesus Christ!

Think about this as you go through the daily challenges of your life.

It cost so much for God to purchase you back, in fact, it cost Him everything. So don’t let the devil fool you for one second into thinking that God will ever forsake or leave you alone. The truth is that God is with you. He will not leave or forsake you at all.

Remember that you are ‘the apple of his eye’? ~ Zechariah 2:8

And don’t forget that you are ‘accepted in the beloved’? ~ Ephesians 1:6

Truly, your worth in God’s eye is inestimable!

Your worth is not a function of how others treat you, what they say about you, or what they give you.

Your true worth is also not based on how much you have accomplished, achieved, or accumulated, for  “a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” ~ Jesus Christ (Luke 12:15)

I understand that millions, and probably billions of people in our world today are so dependent on others for their sense of self worth to the point of serious and crippling slavery to the opinions of others. And I believe that Jesus came to set us free from that kind of bondage.

You are not what someone said to you, or said about you.

You are not what someone did to you, or how they treated you.

You are not what you own, or what you’ve achieved.

Your value transcends all of the above!

When God decided to redeem you (= buy you back), He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to the cross to die for you. This reveals how much you’re worth in God’s eyes. It means that you are worth the life of God’s only Son, Jesus Christ!

Every time I see a picture of Jesus Christ hanging on the cross, I see my price tag, and the true value of my life.

How about you?
