Have You Received God’s Salvation Through Jesus Christ?

Luke 19:1-4 NIV
[1] Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. [2] A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. [3] He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. [4] So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

Zacchaeus was wealthy.
Yet he climbed a tree to see Jesus.
Why? What was his problem? What was he looking for?

You see, the man was rich in earthly possessions, but poor and empty in His soul. His wealth couldn’t fill the emptiness of His soul. His wealth couldn’t satisfy the hunger of His heart.

It pains me today to see many of us fall under the illusion that the wealth and riches of this world could satisfy the deepest hunger and aspirations of our soul. That’s a satanic illusion. A big lie.

All the riches this world has to offer could never quench the thirsting of the human soul. Satan has nothing that can satisfy the human soul: not money. Not sex. Not drugs. Not alcohol. Nothing!

The deepest craving of our hearts is for peace with God. For His life. For His Spirit. And we could never find these from anything in this world.

Zacchaeus realized that and climbed a tree to see Jesus. And at the end of that day, He found peace with God as salvation came to His home.

Have you received God’s salvation through Jesus Christ? Have you received His life in your soul? Are you filled with His Spirit? Are you at peace with Him?

I really hope the answer is yes. I really really do hope the answer is yes.

If not, there’s no need to keep postponing it and wasting time. The march to the end of your days on earth is proceeding steadily every day. Surrender your heart to Jesus Christ today. Receive Him into your heart. Make peace with God today.
