Proverbs 8:35 NIV | “For whoever finds me (wisdom) finds life, and receives favour from the LORD.”

Wisdom is simply good judgement. It is a spirit. It is the mind of God flowing through one. It preserves. It opens doors. It brings life and favour. That’s why it’s supreme. The next verse says that to not have it is to harm oneself and love death. Like every other spirit, it answers to prayer and essentially, the value that we place on it.

God is happy when we walk in wisdom. His word says ‘if your heart is wise, then My heart will be glad.‘ So, operating in wisdom pleasures Him and makes Him smile on us, which in turn means more life and favour.

Where God’s will holds sway, wisdom reigns, and where wisdom reigns, life and favour abound. Father, help us to submit absolutely to Your ways, and cause Your wisdom to ceaselessly flow through us, that we may grow in favour.
