Hebrews 11:6 | NIV “And without faith it is impossible to please God.”

Faith is the revelation of God to us. It comes when we hear Him speak to us. So, there can be no faith without hearing God’s word, and no relationship with Him without His word.

God is pleased by our faith. He guides us through His word, and we pleasure Him as we obey Him. Through His word, we metamorphose and partake of His nature, just as He has willed.

God’s word is precious to Him. He exalts it above everything else. Like precious pearls, He’s averse to casting it to anyone who will not value it. Drawing back from it displeases Him. The value we place on His word determines its flow of virtue to us. Holy Spirit, give us a fresh love and value for Your word, that we may grow in favour with You and men.
