2 Peter 3:8 RSV | “But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.”

For Gods, a day is like a 1000 years, and a 1000 years is like a day literally. This means time is malleable, elastic; it can be increased or shortened. Just like plasticine used by kids to mould objects, as God you can manipulate time.

You see this in the miracle of turning water into wine.(John 2:1-10) Jesus told Mary his time had not yet come. But when Mary primed the servants to obey Jesus’ instructions, time was manipulated and the miracle happened. Simply put, a thousand years became a day.

You see the converse in the journey of the Israelites through the wilderness to the Promised Land. By disobeying the Father’s instructions to go ahead and conquer the giants at Canaan, the Israelites turned a 40 days journey into a 40 years journey. (Numbers 13,14) That is to say, a day became a thousand years.

Humans largely see time as fixed blocks of seconds, minutes, days, months and years. But Gods know that time is malleable. Train your mind (soul) and body to hear and obey instructions from you (spirit). For the most part, as you do this, you will manipulate time to your advantage and enjoy greater bliss.
