Romans 2:11
For God does not show favoritism.

Many will beg to disagree with the notion that God does not show favoritism.
The truth is that He doesn’t. He is just, and perfect in all His ways.

Many times through the years, I’ve had people blame God for their misfortunes. I’ve even heard people accuse God for not being fair. And I’ve often been tempted to agree with the so-called evidence of God’s unfairness.

However, as I’ve gotten along in my walk with the Lord, I’m learning that the causes of people’s misfortunes are often hidden in the choices they’ve made.

Proverbs 19:3 (NIV)
A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the Lord.

God is just.
Righteousness and truth are the foundation of His throne.

Deuteronomy 32:4 (NLT)
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is!

And He rewards everyman according to their deeds.

Romans 2:6 (NIV)
God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”
