Go Beyond The Promised Land!

Exodus 33:15 NIV | “Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”

God had given Moses and Isreal the promised land. This land was flowing with milk and honey. Victory over all their enemies was guaranteed. But one thing was missing. God was not going to go with them, because of Israel’s rebellious idolatry – the molding and worship of the golden calf.

This made Israel and Moses sad. Moses desperately wanted God to go with them. In today’s text, we see him basically saying, ‘Lord, we want You, more than the promised land.’ The promised land meant nothing if God wasn’t going to go with them.

It’s not about how much we have, but about how much of God that is in what we have. The presence of God and His voice is our distinction. It is what brings value to His promise. Without Him, the promise is empty. Like Moses, go beyond ‘your promised land’, and insist on going with God, in every area of your life! Bliss be with you!
