Psalm 69:30-31 | “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving. This will please the Lord more than an ox, more than a bull with its horns and hoofs.”

Dear Blissful, God’s request to you today is simple: Praise His name in songs and glorify Him with thanksgiving.

I know a lot is going on around you. News from both regular media and social media are discouraging. There are bills to pay. Problems that demand your attention are piling up. In spite of these, God wants you today to lay aside all, and praise Him in songs. He wants you to glorify Him with thanksgiving.

I know you are not yet where you want to be. However, you are definitely no longer where you used to be. Look around you, the landscape of your life is already changing. Some prayer points of 5 years ago are now realities you have enjoyed and have moved on to other prayer requests. You may not yet be experiencing bliss in all areas of your life, but some things that used to be heartaches have been sorted out by God.

You can choose to be on the fast moving and never ending train of prayer requests. Or, you can pause, get off the train, and glorify God with thanksgiving as He asks you today.

Take time out, make a list of what God has done and glorify Him with thanksgiving.

Psalm 50:23 RSV | “Those who bring thanksgiving as their sacrifice honor me; to those who go the right way I will show the salvation of God.”
