Ephesians 4:27 GWT | “Don’t give the devil any opportunity [to work].”

Few weeks back, the Lord instructed that we embark on a fast, with vigils. Prior to this instruction, I had this terrible condition in my head that for the most part, drugs don’t relieve. Only two things do. Sleep and food. Lack of them aggravate it.

When the instruction came, I wondered how I’d cope. Well, I started with the warm up fast, and few hours of prayers, but then the conditioned worsened. I asked the Lord for help, as I wanted to obey Her totally, and not make excuses for my flesh. As I progressed to proper vigil and real fast (without food for days and nights), the conditioned vanished with no trace, up untill now. What used to be the trigger – lack of sleep and food – became the remedy! Isn’t the Lord amazing?

Lucifer works through our mind. We resist him, and limit his operation in our lives by following the Spirit and submitting to His word. James 4:7 says “submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  May you be graced to submit, obey, and testify!
