Give No Place To The Devil- 2

Ephesians 4:27| “…nor give place to the devil.”

Some time ago I had an issue where flying insects were getting into my house. I began to check to see how they were getting in. I finally figured it out, there were cracks around the window by the wall. I then was able to solve the problem by sealing those cracks with some sealant.

God used that situation to speak to me. He showed me that sometimes there are cracks in your life and the enemy has access to your being: mind, body, emotions, and so on.

I’m sure you want to know what causes these cracks so you can seal it up and the enemy will no longer have access. Let’s look at this verse below.

Jeremiah 2:13|For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!

There are two things the Lord addresses here:

#1 They have abandoned me— the Fountain of Living Water.

#2 They have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!

Any area of your life that you have not fully surrendered to the Lord is the same as abandoning Him. When you are not fully surrendered to the Lord you will begin to do things your own way. This is what gives you ‘cracks’ in your life. Then the enemy has access.

Today, completely surrender all to Jesus. Honestly, you can’t do that on your own. So ask Holy Spirit to help you to surrender completely. He is your seal. Ask the Him to seal every crack and fill you with His Living Water!

Ephesians 1:13| “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,”
