The other morning I was awakened by Holy Spirit reminding me of a prayer Jesus prayed to the Father that we would be one. So I began to pray that Holy Spirit inspired prayer. As I did my eyes were opened to see something Jesus said in John 14: 

‭‭John‬ ‭14:30 ‬| “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.”

Jesus said the ruler of the world has nothing in Him. This is how I see it, there wasn’t anything in Jesus that the enemy could connect to. 

See, darkness can not connect with light. They just do not mix. Just like an android charger can’t connect to an iPhone. They are completely incompatible. 

When that ol’trickster, satan— aka the god of this world comes to you he can only connect with those things which are from him or his domain (the world), which is the darkness.

The truth is the devil has no power over us as children of God. The only power he has is if he can get us to agree, fellowship or connect with him and his lies, suggestions and deceptions. 

These lies are what I call strong holds that are in you. They have come to you through many avenues. They have been passed down from generations, through the culture and so on. They give birth to desires that are not from God and get you to follow your own way (flesh).

Ephesians 4:27 “…nor give place to the devil.”

So in order to not have any place for the devil to connect with you, you must completely surrender everything to God and let Him fill you with His light. So that way when the enemy comes to you he will not find any way into your life. 

It is very important that you pray for those around you as well. Because as you walk in total surrender and the devil can no longer get to you directly, he will begin to try to use the people closest to you. So pray for them too. That they would be completely surrendered to God.

Today, come before God and let the fire of His Spirit burn out everything in you the enemy is connecting to. In that way you can be one with Jesus and say the enemy of this world can’t find anything in me!
