It’s time to go higher!
You have stayed at that particular level for too long. And the Heavenly Council has decided that it is time to move you to higher heights.
What that means is that you are about to be faced with greater responsibilities, aka, problems, troubles and adversities.
Are you ready?
Life is made up of challenges
You see, Jesus told us that in this world you will have troubles; that each day has enough troubles of its own.
Matthew 6:34 NIV
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
John 16:33 NIV
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Replace the word ‘trouble’ with ‘problems and adversities’—Better still, replace it with ‘challenges.’
Jesus is referring to the general and unique challenges that each of us must face in our journey through the day.
And the greater your responsibilities—the higher the realm and reach of your influence—the greater and more demanding your unique challenges will be.
Furthermore, God will never give you challenges you cannot handle.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Your daily challenges are tailored to your capacity; to your strength. The troubles of today correspond to your present level and capacity of strength.
It’s not the adversity, the unique challenges of your life that’s making you faint. It’s that your strength is small.
Proverbs 24:10 KJV
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
What you need is more strength.
And if you’re wearied by your present level of challenges, if you’re collapsing under their weight, how do you expect to go to a higher level of challenge?
Jeremiah 12:5 NIV
“If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?
Before He gives you greater challenges —what we normally call promotion or divine lifting—He has to increase your strength.
This is where fresh oil come in.
Fresh oil means a fresh and greater capacity of strength; of wisdom and grace.
Without fresh oil there can be no divine promotions.
Because ‘new levels’ is simply being given a higher level of challenges and difficulties than the one you’re currently dealing with. And it requires a corresponding degree of strength.
What you need is more strength; fresh oil.
That way, the lion in your path feels like a kid. And then you rise to greater levels responsibilities and challenges.
Fresh oil Lord!
