Mark 1:11-12 | “And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’ At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert.”
Today’s post is solid food for the mature.(Hebrews 5:14) The Father had just given Jesus the greatest praise and endorsement. You will think “amazing fireworks and celebrations” will follow suit. But what do you see: The Holy Spirit drives Jesus into a desert, a dry place, a wasteland and that immediately!
Logically speaking, it doesn’t add up. You would think that a wasteland is for the enemies of God. Hence today’s warning, don’t assess God’s word by the manifestations you see.
Has the Lord asked you to do something, you step out in faith, but what meets you isn’t what you expected? Has He asked to “go over to the other side and suddenly a storm has arisen?” (Luke 8:22-23) Fear not! Keep your eyes on His word, not the manifestations. Everything is working out for your good.
