Your Faith Decides Your Experiences

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”
~ Romans 8:1-2

The above scripture underscores the role of your personal responsibility in appropriating the tremendous blessings ushered in by Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension to glory.

The ‘grace’ mentioned above is talking about these wonderful new creation realities.

As John wrote:

“From the fullness of His grace, we have all received one blessing after another.”
~John 1:16

And the writer of the book of Romans tells us that we’ve gained access into this grace.

And how do we gain access into this grace? By faith!

We tap into these wonderful realities through faith. These blessings manifest in our lives through faith. We take advantage of these good things obtained by Jesus and given to us in Christ, through faith in God’s word.

However, the question today is, are you going to believe? Are you going to embrace these realities as yours? Or are you going to leave them as something that makes you feel good when you go to church? As the preacher expounds these things on the pulpit, are you going to just jump up, scream “Amen” and forget them the moment you step out of church?

It is your decision. It is your choice.

These realities should be a part of your life. What you experience in life should not be a function of what another person’s experiences are. Your experiences should no longer be decided by the environment you find yourself in.

As you embrace these realities, you will watch your life evolve from one level of glory to another.
