In yesterday’s post, Don’t Follow The Ways Of The World, I introduced what 2 of the 5 things you must do to walk in your divine distinction. Here is another thing that you should do:
“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruits in season, and whose leaves does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”
~Psalm 1:1-3
3. Don’t sit in the seat of mockers and talk about ungodly things.
Don’t hang out with them. Maybe your best friend is an unbeliever, that is ungodly. I’ve heard Christians say to me that fellow Christians are uninteresting. Someone once said to me, “I don’t even like all these brothers in the church. I like unbelievers; they’re more interesting.” That person was just speaking like a fool.
If you meet somebody that says that kind of thing to you, tell that person that he is speaking like a fool. May be, you meet a brother who says to you, “I don’t like all these sisters, they’re just somehow. Unbelieving ladies are more interesting.” Let such persons know they are being foolish.
There are people like that, who sit in the seat of mockers. There are people whose business is to mock God, and laugh at God. And then you come and sit with them and start mocking God. Later you go back to church and say you love God? May God have mercy on Christians like that in the name of Jesus.
Stay apart; you are different. Walk in your divine distinction.
Memory Verse:
Psalm 1:1-3
“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruits in season, and whose leaves does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I choose to walk in my divine distinction, and not have fellowship with those who mock You, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
