Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe

Mark 5:35-36 NIV
[35] While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?” [36] Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

Right now, as you read this, there’s a crowd out there trying to drag you back into their so called logical and practical reasoning.

Ignore them.

Like Jairus, you’ve chosen to seek God. You’ve chosen to trust God with your issues. You’ve chosen to depend on God and not on your own strength. You’ve chosen to trust God instead of trying. You’ve chosen to pray instead of worrying.

And now, things seem to have gotten even worse.

So that mocking crowd out there is mocking your faith and telling you to leave your Jesus ways; to leave your praying and fasting ways; to come back to the hustling of human anxieties.

Ignore them. Don’t be afraid; just believe. Soon, those that mocked your prayers will wonder at your miracle.
