Psalm 14:2 | ” The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.”

Life is filled with folks in pursuit of different things. Some chase fame; others go after pleasure. Many seek wealth, while for some power is the ultimate achievement. However, a few seek God because they have understanding. They realise that life is designed by the Maker, and that the ultimate purpose of life is to do His will. The Lord delights in such people.

Where do you belong? Only you can answer this question. Are you among those with real understanding of what to pursue in life, or are you distracted with the temporary things of this world?

Solomon, a man who had his fill of pleasure, fame, wealth, and power, had this to say at the end of his journey: “Here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13) His statement is not surprising because earthly things will always leave you dry.
