Divine Destiny Connections

Over there the Holy Spirit was talking to Ananias about Paul.

Acts 9:10-12 NIV
[10] In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered. [11] The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. [12] In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”

At the same time, He was also on the other side talking to Paul about Ananias.

Acts 9:12 NIV
[12] In a vision he (Paul) has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”

Talk about divine connection! The Holy Spirit Himself orchestrated the meeting between these two men, and brought them together!

Acts 9:17 NIV
[17] Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

So lovely!

I wonder at the nature of the relationship that would have continued to exist between Paul and His mentor, Ananias. Who knows? But I can only guess that it must have been powerful, inspiring, life changing, and free of drama.

And it makes me reevaluate all the relationships in my life? How did I get to meet and connect with the various people in my life? The various relationships I’m in, were they arranged and orchestrated by the Holy Spirit? Or were they borne of the flesh?

Relationships borne of the flesh will eventually ruin your walk with God; with their drama, toxicity and all, they’ll poison you eventually. And they’re not worth it.

But when the Holy Spirit Himself sends an Ananias to you, or connects you with a Paul, the most amazing things happen!

I call these divine connections.
