Daily, Acknowledge God as God Over Your Life

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for Him, and when they found Him, they exclaimed: ‘Everyone is looking for you!’ Jesus replied, ‘Let us go somewhere else to the nearby villages so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.’”
~ Mark 1: 35 – 38

Jesus understood the importance of spending the first moments of the day in fellowship with the Father. He never joked with His personal daily devotions. And this enabled Him to stay in alignment with the Father, and successfully accomplish His mission of salvation on earth.
In contrast today, a lot of Christians are lazy. Folks sleep too much; some even snore till 6-o’clock in the morning. If that’s your habit, then it has to stop. Laziness and indolence must get out of your life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Actually, in our ministry, I banned my members from having their daily devotions any later than 4-o’clock in the morning. Cultivate a powerful prayer custom by having your daily devotion early in the morning and in a private place, just like Jesus did.

As soon as you open your eyes, the first thing you should do is to get on your knees and acknowledge God as God over your life. Tell Him, “Thank you Father, I adore you. I worship you. Today, I declare you as my God. You are my God. I bow before you today as my Maker.”

Before your day begins, come before God and submit to Him. Bow before him, early in the morning and alone. Bow before him in worship, and in reverence. And let him know that you are His subject and that you will follow him.
Amen.

Memory Verse:
Mark 1:35

Prayer:
Thank you father, I adore you. I worship you. Today, I declare you as my God. You are my God. I bow before you today as my Maker, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
