Come Boldly! (2): Adopt The Posture of Grace

JOHN 13:24-25 NLT | “SIMON PETER MOTIONED TO HIM TO ASK, “WHO’S HE TALKING ABOUT?” SO THAT DISCIPLE LEANED OVER TO JESUS AND ASKED, “LORD, WHO IS IT?””

A woman receives her husband’s honour by humbly submitting to him. The church obtains grace from Jesus by yielding in humble submission to His precious Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ received honour and encountered grace through humble submission to the will of His Father.

Humility is not timidity or being subject to another person’s domination. It’s rather the posture of your heart towards someone you love. Your heart posture exposes your loyalty and determines what virtues you attract. Notice how John the beloved was prompted by Peter to lean on Jesus chest to gain access to valuable information and hidden mysteries.

Your posture before God matters. A humble disposition attracts great and unusual help from both God and man. So, adopt the posture of grace to find help in times of need. Help us, dear Lord Jesus!
