HEBREWS 4:16 KJV | “LET US THEREFORE COME BOLDLY UNTO THE THRONE OF GRACE, THAT WE MAY OBTAIN MERCY, AND FIND GRACE TO HELP IN TIME OF NEED.”

The term ‘lawful captives’ connotes imprisonment because of actual wrongdoing. It means the punishment is right for the mistake made. However, the Holy Spirit has a plan because of His relentless and unending love for us. He is delivering us from the intended consequences of our negative actions and mistakes, made both knowingly and unknowingly. God is extending His great mercies to us and our families by cancelling the effects of past sins. Our children will also escape the consequences of our own mistakes.

There is one thing we need to do. And, that is, acknowledge our wrongdoing and ask the Lord to forgive us. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. But the moment we accept our wrongdoing, we activate the first steps to recovery of what we lost to find its way back into our lives.

We are sorry for our wrongs, dear Lord Jesus. Please, forgive us!
