On the second day of the ongoing Celebration Of Love in Warri, the Holy Spirit instructed me to point Blissful People to our need for one another; not our need for the Holy Spirit; rather, our need for one another.
We need the Holy Spirit. But we need one another too. And the way God has made things, it’s just impossible for any of us to succeed in this life without the help and support of other people.
God has made it so. He sets the lonely in families.
Psalm 68:6 NIV
God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
The rebellious—that is, loners: those that are unable to get along well with other people—never make it far. They live in a sun-scorched land. Meaning that they usually end up lonely, friendless, bitter, and frustrated.
I have met a lot of these rebellious types. I even probably used to be one myself: holier-than-thou, self-righteous, judgmental. These kinds are usually toxic to any group they’re in, causing everyone to walk on egg shells.
During yesterday’s event, I spoke very strongly against such attitudes among Blissful People. In fact, I went as far as saying that judgmental, holier-than-thou people who can’t bear with the faults of others should never be welcomed among Blissful People.
Among Blissful People, a judgmental, holier-than-thou attitude that does not accommodate the faults of one another, should be treated as the unpardonable sin. That is, it is absolutely not acceptable among us.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper and He doesn’t want you to struggle by yourself. It is only through His help that we can make it. However, we must also support each other through constant fellowship and relentless prayers.
In the following verse, notice that Paul didn’t ask the Colossians to go fend for themselves; to go pray for themselves. He didn’t leave it up to them!
Colossians 1:9 NIV
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, WE have not stopped praying for you. WE continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,
Instead, together with His team, he supported his people through relentless prayers: “…we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God…”He wrote.
It wasn’t the Colossians praying for themselves. It wasn’t the Colossians seeking the Holy Spirit by themselves. They had the relentless prayer support of Paul and his team. Because we’re one body and we must work together, the strong helping the weak along the way.
And, like Paul, I have also decided not to leave it up to Blissful People. I’m renewing my commitment to pray for Blissful People till the very end. But we must also make the same commitment.
Blissful People must now become more aggressive in interceding for one another; covering the multitude of one another’s sins with love; bearing with each other’s shortcomings.
But especially, supporting one another through relentless prayers.
So, starting August 31, Blissful People all over the world will embark on Season 3 of Prayer Connect, themed ‘Relentless’.

Every single day for sixty days, together as one family, we will connect to the Holy Spirit through our Online Prayer Connect.
And during this period, through relentless prayers by the help of the Holy Spirit, we will aggressively intercede for one another, cover one another in love, bear with the shortcomings of one another, thereby supporting each other’s spiritual journey.
Help us Lord.
