You already have everything you need to become who you were designed to be in eternity, time, and space; they are already built into the life in you.
The right approach is to find your voice and use it. When you do so, your sheep will naturally get drawn and attracted to you; they’ll respond to you in ways that will amaze you. Don’t struggle to be what you are not, start from within, find and use your voice, and your sheep will follow.
The marriage institution in it’s current post-fall state, is a marred version of the original and so does not represent God’s perfect plan. It has several flaws, the most significant being that it has a curse-based leadership structure.
