One And Twenty Days Of Prayer Connect!

The wall of resistance has caved in!

Yesterday, during Day 20 of the ongoing Prayer Connect, I felt a jump in my heart as I thought of day 21, that is, today. I immediately sensed something will shift mightily on the twenty first day of the season.

And now it’s here! One and twenty days of Prayer Connect!

I see it now. It’s like a violent shift; as though something has been forcefully displaced. An ancient heavy gate; a very stubborn resistance. This is all taking place in the spirit. But at this very moment I can perceive it.

Daniel 10:12-14 KJV
[12] Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
[13] But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days
: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
[14] Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

Significantly, today is the twenty first day of this Prayer Connect Season.

Let’s take a moment right now and just pray in tongues. Pause your reading and start praying in tongues so you can connect with what is happening in the realms of the spirit.

Something that belongs to you, released in the heavenlies a while ago, but withstood by powerful spiritual principalities, is coming through this moment! Start receiving immediately in Jesus Name!

With Thanksgiving

There is a period between when you plant a seed and when it matures into a fruitful tree. This period is known as the gestation period. It is different for different kinds plants, depending on the uniqueness of each plant.

Prayer is like that.

There is a period between when you pray and when you receive answers to your prayers.

This period is different depending on the kind of prayer, the kind of person praying, their circumstances, and so on.

Now, just like with plants, there are different kinds of prayers, and there are different kinds of people praying under different kinds of circumstances.

Again, like plants, some prayers have longer gestation periods than others—that is, they take longer than others.

The gestation period of some prayers may even span generations!

And the longer the manifestation takes, the easier it is to throw away your faith and give up praying. Which is exactly what many do. And which you should never do.

I don’t know the gestation period of your prayers. Nobody knows but the Lord.

But I know it would be foolish to throw away your faith; to quit praying just because you’ve been praying for a ‘long’ time without seeing results.

Instead understand the following:

  1. Each prayer is like a seed. It has its own gestation period. Could be instant, could take hours, days, or even years. Which is why you have need for patience in prayer.
  2. Most times, when you plant a seed, it actually starts to decay. Similarly, most time after you pray, things may appear to start getting worse. So, never judge the efficacy of your prayers by what you see around you. Instead, trust in the Lord with all your heart.

In any case, after praying, and as you continue to pray with expectations, also pray with thanksgiving.

Philippians 4:6 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

That is, rephrase your prayer as a thanksgiving. Begin to thank God as though you already have the answers.

Thanksgiving is a prayer booster! It possesses the power to shorten the gestation period of any prayer.

So, why not put this into practice right away. Take your most pressing prayer request, rephrase it as a thanksgiving, and share it with us in the comment.

God Is Able To Keep You From Falling

Jude 1:24 NLT
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.

The Holy Spirit is able to keep you from falling away. So, why are you arrogantly trying to do it on your own? Is it so you can boast of how great you are, or what?

Please, let go and let the Holy Spirit do His job of keeping you. He can do an infinitely greater job than anything you can even imagine.

The Holy Spirit will keep you from falling away from the faith. He will help you to keep praying and trusting God for your miracles. He will strengthen your faith to keep believing in His promises till He comes through.

Look away from your own weaknesses and faults. Receive His help that is freely available to you today.

Do Not Throw Away Your Confidence

Hebrews 10:35 NIV
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

You wouldn’t throw something away if you thought it was useful to you. You would only throw stuff away if you thought they were worthless.

So, why would anyone even think of throwing away their confidence, their faith in God?

That would be because they think it’s not working; they think they’ve believed in vain; they think they’re wasting their time praying and trusting God. In this case, they may decide to throw away their faith.

And, according to the words of the Holy Spirit in today’s scripture verse, that would be a bad idea. You shouldn’t t do that at all.

The reason you think there’s a delay is because you’re not seeing into the Spirit realms of that situation. If you were to see into the Spirit realms you would have seen that your testimony is closer now than ever before!

So, I urge you in the name of the Lord to keep on trusting Him. Keep on praying. Keep on declaring His promises. Keep on hanging out with and praying with others of like-minded faith.

There’s no gain in throwing away your confidence. Instead, receive grace from the Holy Spirit right now to go that extra mile required to reach the finish line.

Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe

Mark 5:35-36 NIV
[35] While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?” [36] Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

Right now, as you read this, there’s a crowd out there trying to drag you back into their so called logical and practical reasoning.

Ignore them.

Like Jairus, you’ve chosen to seek God. You’ve chosen to trust God with your issues. You’ve chosen to depend on God and not on your own strength. You’ve chosen to trust God instead of trying. You’ve chosen to pray instead of worrying.

And now, things seem to have gotten even worse.

So that mocking crowd out there is mocking your faith and telling you to leave your Jesus ways; to leave your praying and fasting ways; to come back to the hustling of human anxieties.

Ignore them. Don’t be afraid; just believe. Soon, those that mocked your prayers will wonder at your miracle.

Something To Be Thankful For

During yesterday’s Prayer Connect, we had the first Blissful People Hangout—a Prayer Connect completely devoted to just interacting with one another.

It was obvious from the conversations that everyone enjoyed it. We had a great time. And I’m sure we’re all looking forward to the next one. It will be happening every Saturday.

In the course of the Hangout, it came to me to ask us about our favorite thing on Prayer Connect. The answers were quite interesting. I also learnt a lot from them.

The love bond between Blissful People is growing stronger by the day. Through each Rule Your Day, Prayer Connect and other online and offline interactions, the Holy Spirit is fusing us into one divine love force.

This is a good thing. And I perceive it is unstoppable. I sense that we’re just in the beginning of a Holy Spirit flow that will engulf the whole earth and impact the destinies of many generations.

I’m excited. Really excited. You should be as well. Because, now it’s becoming clearer that this is more than just listing prayers and getting answers. The Holy Spirit had more in mind from the beginning. And He hand picked each of us to be a part of it.

So, today, I just want to thank God for making me one of His Blissful People.

All we have is love. 💕

A Prophecy For Nigeria

Yesterday, I received this prophetic message of hope and encouragement for Nigeria. I have already posted it on my Facebook and Instagram pages. This morning I felt a very strong move to post it here as well.

“The nations that have you among them will prosper and be blessed.
Soon, you shall be highly sought after.
The nations of the earth will come to you, pleading for your people to come dwell among them.

You should no longer curse or hate your nation.
Bless your nation daily in your prayers.

Your leaders do not represent you.
Many will be deposed by God Himself.
A dark cloud hangs over many that pretend to represent you, but are merely wolves in sheep clothing; fleecing the sheep and oppressing the people.

Even some of the religious leaders will be swept away in the coming judgement.

Your nation will be cleansed and purified.
God Himself will raise up shepherds for you.
Your people will rejoice.
And all nations will clamour for you to come and dwell in their midst.” 🙏

This message was given to me for Nigeria. Nevertheless, Blissful People from other nations should head one very powerful aspect of the message:

You should no longer curse or hate your nation.
Bless your nation daily in your prayers.

This is scriptural:

Jeremiah 29:7 NIV
“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

There is power in our mouths; in our collective utterances over the space we dwell in. Why hate and curse it, when you could bless it?

In today’s comment, ask God to bless the nation wherein you dwell.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in Jesus name. Amen. 🙏

A Ripple Of Inspiration That Continues To The End Of Time

Let us draw inspiration today from one of the most amazing and beautiful stories in the entire bible.

Mark 12:41-44 NIV
[41] Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. [42] But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. [43] Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. [44] They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.

An easily overlooked portion of this story is that Jesus sat down and watched people giving their offerings. This is very significant. It shows that giving is extremely important—so important that Jesus actually sat down to watch people giving.

When God Himself takes note of your giving, it can create a ripple of inspiration that outlives you and continues to the end of time!

Another striking thing about this story is the socio-economic status of this woman. She was poor. And she was a widow.

Yet, according to Jesus, she put more into the treasury than all the others.

Jesus tells us why: “…she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.

She practically committed financial suicide! A poor widow, out of her poverty, put in everything — all she had to live on!

This woman’s giving is the only kind of giving that gets the attention of God.

Her level of giving is supernatural. It is only possible by the help of the Holy Spirit.

May the Holy Spirit Himself lift you to this level of giving in Jesus name.

As you give today, do not just give because you have it; because it is quite convenient for you. Rather, yield to the Holy Spirit and let Him enable you to give like that poor widow..

The Thanksgiving Of Thinkers

It’s Testimonies Thursday. A day of thanksgiving for Blissful People.

Today we take a break from presenting our requests before the Lord. Then we spend it in thanksgiving.

I believe that taking time off to ponder the goodness of the Lord is very necessary to a healthy heart. If all you do is make requests all the time, without pausing to say thanks, I believe such an attitude poisons and darkens the soul.

Thanksgiving is a spiritual detoxifier. In order to really be thankful, you’ll need to think. And that process of searching down reasons to be thankful does wonders to your mind—cleans it up and makes it sound.

Thanksgiving is also a form of prayer.

Philippians 4:6 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

So, thanksgiving should be included in our prayers. It should be an intermittent part of your prayers. In other words, you should alternate between petition and thanksgiving.

Take a moment today, think. Search your heart. Is there anything to be thankful for? Then share your thanksgiving with the world in the comments.

Take No Thought For The Morrow (#3)

When I resolved to radically apply myself to the words of Jesus Christ in the following scripture, the Holy Spirit helped me, and amazing things began to happen.

Matthew 6:34 KJV
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

I began it as an experiment—that way, even if I had failed, I would still feel good having at least tried it. But then the Holy Spirit took over and made it into an absolutely fantastic experience.

And, so far, I’m learning quite a lot from the experience. I’ve already shared two of those lessons in the previous two posts:

Lesson #1. The very first thing I learnt is that this word runs contrary to the way humans think, speak and live.

Lesson #2. The second thing I learnt is that tomorrow is far better at taking care of itself, than you or today could ever hope to.

Now here’s another thing I discovered.

Lesson #3. The pressure to worry about tomorrow is unavoidable. But you can deflect it back to God through relentless prayer.

Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
[6] Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7 NIV
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

So, when all those worries and anxieties about tomorrow invade my thoughts, what should I do?

Should I welcome and indulge them? This is what most people do. This is the pathway to chronic worries and anxieties that opens the door to all kinds of mental and emotional demons.

Should I try to push the thoughts away through will power and positive thinking? Theoretical talkers teach this; as though it were possible. This however is the delusional paradise of fools.

The more effective approach is to get on your knees and PRAY. Take all those things you’re worried about and present them as requests to God. Hand your tomorrow over to God. Cast it upon the Lord through prayer.

In other words, prayer is the divine substitute for worries and anxieties.

The result is a heart and mind that is completely guarded by God’s incomprehensible peace. A mind that has absolutely no thought for the morrow.

Now, instead of wrestling with all those worries and anxieties in your mind, why not convert them into prayer requests and list them in the comments before God?

Take No Thought For The Morrow (#2)

Hello Blissful People, and welcome to Table Tuesday!

Yesterday, I started to share the things I’m learning so far from radically applying myself to the following words of Jesus Christ:

Matthew 6:34 KJV
[34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

It was scary at first. But I’m always drawn to the words of Jesus. I always feel challenged to take them literally and strive to make them my lifestyle.

In this case, I instinctively knew it would be extremely difficult. But I was determined.

Of course, I failed initially. Most people I spoke to about it just laughed. Others gave me a million and one reasons why it was a ridiculous idea. Some even said Jesus never meant that literally.

Who cares? My mind was made up. I was going to attempt climbing this Everest, and if I perished along the way, so be it.

The experience so far has been absolutely fantastic! Let’s just say I’m lovin’ it!

And I’m learning so much.

I’ve already shared the very first thing I learnt here.

The second thing I learnt is that tomorrow is far better at taking care of itself, than you or today could ever hope to.

“…for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself…”

Jesus Himself said that, and I have experienced it: The power of the morrow to take thought for the things of itself is purely magical!

If through the help of the Holy Spirit, you conquer that pull to take thought for the morrow—to worry about tomorrow—something really fantastic happens. You wake up the next day to discover that tomorrow has handled its affairs beautifully; better than you could have managed it!

Yet, like I wrote yesterday, don’t ever fool yourself even for a second into thinking you can do this. No you can’t. No one can. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, it would be impossible to take no thought for the morrow.

However, if you take this word of Jesus Christ to heart, if you acknowledge that it is humanly impossible to practice it, and if you sincerely ask the Holy Spirit to help you practice it, He will certainly help you.

And, just like I’ve learnt and practically experienced, you will come to discover the power of the morrow to take thought for the things of itself.

Receive peace right now in Jesus Name!

Take No Thought For The Morrow (#1)

Matthew 6:34 KJV
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

A while back, I decided to radically apply myself to this instruction; to practice it to the letter. So, I stopped thinking about anything beyond today.

In the process, I’m learning so much.

The very first thing I learnt is that this word runs contrary to the way humans think, speak and live.

This word came from Jesus Christ Himself. So, you can expect the anti-Christ spirit of worldliness to advocate the opposite.

Thus, everything you read about how to succeed in this life tells you to plan and strategize about tomorrow; in direct opposition to the word of the Christ.

Yet, all this talk about planning and strategizing about tomorrow, how far has it really gotten most people?

What else does it produce besides worries, anxieties and stress?

At the end of the day, it’s just one of the tricks Satan uses to keep most humans running on the rat race treadmill of empty hustling; to disguise worries, anxieties, stress, and all the ills that have ravaged the health of humanity.

Essentially, Satan is actively undermining this word in the hearts and minds of those who hear it. That way, they remain his slaves and continue to suffer as a result.

In any case, it is humanly impossible to escape this evil force field.

However, through the Holy Spirit, you can become an exception. The Holy Spirit is able to help you take no thought for the morrow. He can give you the contentment and peace of Jesus Christ today.

Just ask Him.

Fresh Oil!

It’s time to go higher!

You have stayed at that particular level for too long. And the Heavenly Council has decided that it is time to move you to higher heights.

What that means is that you are about to be faced with greater responsibilities, aka, problems, troubles and adversities.

Are you ready?

Life is made up of challenges

You see, Jesus told us that in this world you will have troubles; that each day has enough troubles of its own.

Matthew 6:34 NIV
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

John 16:33 NIV
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Replace the word ‘trouble’ with ‘problems and adversities’—Better still, replace it with ‘challenges.’

Jesus is referring to the general and unique challenges that each of us must face in our journey through the day.

And the greater your responsibilities—the higher the realm and reach of your influence—the greater and more demanding your unique challenges will be.

Furthermore, God will never give you challenges you cannot handle.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Your daily challenges are tailored to your capacity; to your strength. The troubles of today correspond to your present level and capacity of strength.

It’s not the adversity, the unique challenges of your life that’s making you faint. It’s that your strength is small.

Proverbs 24:10 KJV
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

What you need is more strength.

And if you’re wearied by your present level of challenges, if you’re collapsing under their weight, how do you expect to go to a higher level of challenge?

Jeremiah 12:5 NIV
“If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?

Before He gives you greater challenges —what we normally call promotion or divine lifting—He has to increase your strength.

This is where fresh oil come in.

Fresh oil means a fresh and greater capacity of strength; of wisdom and grace.

Without fresh oil there can be no divine promotions.

Because ‘new levels’ is simply being given a higher level of challenges and difficulties than the one you’re currently dealing with. And it requires a corresponding degree of strength.

What you need is more strength; fresh oil.

That way, the lion in your path feels like a kid. And then you rise to greater levels responsibilities and challenges.

Fresh oil Lord!

We Need Fresh Oil

The past few days has seen me burdened and praying for fresh oil; for a new anointing. We definitely need it. We can’t do without it.

You see, what has brought you this far, won’t be able to take you where you’re going. You need fresh oil. What has defeated previous challenges and difficulties, won’t be able to handle what lies ahead. You need fresh oil.

What has brought you to this level, won’t be able to take you to the next level. You need fresh oil. What has worked in previous phases, won’t be able to work in the next phase. You need fresh oil.

It’s time for fresh oil. For a new anointing. For another infilling if the Holy Spirit.

You know you need fresh oil when you can’t pray anymore; when you have no appetite for the scriptures. You know you need fresh oil when you have no zeal to fellowship with brethren; when you have no interest in serving the Lord.

You know you need fresh oil when you begin to doubt the word of God; when you begin to join the critics of the Lord and feel comfortable in their company.

You know you need fresh oil when you can no longer speak in tongues; when you’ve been speaking the same tongues for a long time; when the tongues in your mouth feel dry, stale, mechanical and powerless.

You know you need a fresh oil when there are no new songs burbling through your heart out of your mouth; when you find every little thing stressful; when you’ve lost your joy and peace.

When you’re easily irritated and deflated by the daily adversities of life; when you’re irritable, anxious and overwhelmed, then you need fresh oil.

Blissful People, it’s time for fresh oil. Join me in this prayer:

Oh Lord, pour out a fresh oil upon us and fill us afresh with Your new anointing. In Jesus name!

From Everyone Whose Heart Prompts Them

It’s Favour Friday—time to express our love to the Holy Spirit through our giving. Listen to Him today and let Him guide you on how much to give.

But first, let’s reflect on the three conditions for the kind of giving the Lord accepts.

First, the Lord Himself has to ask for it.
Secondly, a genuine servant of the Lord has to receive it for Him.
And, thirdly, only those whose heart prompts them should give.

Now, observe these three conditions in the scriptures below:

Exodus 25:1-2 NIV
[1] The Lord said to Moses, [2] “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.

First, the Lord asked for the offering.
Secondly, His servant, Moses, received it for Him.
And, thirdly, only those whose hearts prompted them, gave.

These conditions are extremely important when it comes to giving our offerings. And thankfully, Blissful People’s Favour Friday giving satisfies these three conditions:

First of all, during Prayer Connect season 2, the Lord Himself specifically asked me to begin to take offerings from Blissful People on Favour Fridays.
Secondly, as we all know, He sent me to His Blissful People.
And thirdly, only those He has chosen and prompted to give are encouraged to give here.

So, dig deep into your heart right away to determine what the Lord is prompting you to give today.

Then give faithfully.

His reasons for choosing and prompting you to give, will soon appear in your life and destiny. In Jesus name.

The 5 Basic Principles Of Prayer Connect For Blissful People (#5)

We’ve been looking at the 5 Basic Principles of Prayer Connect for Blissful People; things you must understand and become established in, in order to be effective in your prayers. They are:

  1. God does not find fault with your prayers.
  2. There are different kinds of prayers.
  3. Be sincere in prayer.
  4. Be very clear about what you want.
  5. Be relentless in prayer.

So far we’ve looked at principle #1, principle #2, principle #3, and principle #4. Let’s move on to principle #5.

#5. Be relentless in prayer

In simple terms: Pray that prayer again and again and again. Never get tired of praying it. Keep at it. Again and again and again. Until the burden leaves your heart. And, if you can, until the prayer is completely answered.

Jesus Christ Himself told us this:

Luke 18:1 KJV
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

And He is the perfect example of relentless praying. The following incident occurred at the Garden of Gethsemane. Read carefully.

Matthew 26:38-44 NIV
[38] Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” [39] Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” [40] Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. [41] “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” [42] He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” [43] When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. [44] So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

Did you notice that Jesus Christ spent hours praying the same prayer; again and again and again: saying the same thing.

This is relentless praying at its best. He kept at it. Again and again and again: saying the same thing.

Unlike Jesus in Gethsamane, many of us quit too early. I pray we’ll no longer do that. Instead, may we learn to be relentless in prayer; to never quit until we get God’s answer.

Remember today is Testimonies Thursday! So share your testimonies in the comment. And let all the glory be to the Lord.

The 5 Basic Principles Of Prayer Connect For Blissful People (#4)

We’ve been looking at the 5 Basic Principles of Prayer Connect for Blissful People; things you must understand and become established in, in order to be effective in your prayers. They are:

  1. God does not find fault with your prayers.
  2. There are different kinds of prayers.
  3. Be sincere in prayer.
  4. Be very clear about what you want.
  5. Be relentless in prayer.

So far we’ve looked at principle #1, principle #2, and principle #3. Let’s move on to principle #4.

#4. Be very clear about what you want.

This is probably the most important and powerful principle of prayer: Be very clear about what you want.

Here’s an example of this principle:

Mark 10:51 NIV
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.

The blind man didn’t beat about the bush with endless words and unnecessary stories. He kept his request single, simple, short, straightforward, and sharp.

Rabbi, I want to see.” Period. End of story. And he said it in just 5 words!

Many of us are full of endless words and unnecessary stories. Mostly because our minds are always in a state of confusion and conflict; lacking calmness and clarity; so that when it comes to prayer, we start beating about the bush with endless stories.

To keep your request single, simple, short, straightforward, and sharp, you should not hurry into prayers. Instead, take some time to work on your prayer; to clarify it to yourself.

Furthermore, after you’ve clarified your prayer to yourself, write it down.

Remember: Be very clear about what you want. Then keep it single, simple, short, straightforward, and sharp.

Here are some examples:

  • I want to be persistent in prayers.
  • I want to be more yielded to the Holy Spirit.
  • I want more appetite for the scriptures.
  • I want twin boys this year.
  • I need a better paying job this year.

Now let’s put today’s principle into practice.

What do you want so desperately at this point in your life? Enter it in the comment. And let it not exceed 5 words. If possible, like the blind man in today’s teaching, let it not exceed 5 words!

I’ll go first.

Lord, I need Your grace! 👏🏻😀

Your turn.

The 5 Basic Principles Of Prayer Connect For Blissful People (#3)

We’ve been looking at the 5 Basic Principles of Prayer Connect for Blissful People; things you must understand and become established in, in order to be effective in your prayers. They are:

  1. God does not find fault with your prayers.
  2. There are different kinds of prayers.
  3. Be sincere in prayer.
  4. Be very clear about what you want.
  5. Be relentless in prayer.

So far we’ve looked at principle #1, and principle #2. Let’s now continue with principle #3.

Principle #3: Be sincere in prayer.

Look at the verse below. It talks about those that may dwell in the sacred tent of the Lord; those that may live on His holy mountain.

Psalm 15:1-2 NIV
[1] Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? [2] The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart;

The point here is that God hates hypocrisy. Especially in prayer; among those that approach Him.

Hypocrisy in prayer is when you desperately need something, but in order to appear saintly and not be condemned by others, you pray for something else.

A young lady desperately desires to get married. But because she’s in the midst of a holier-than-thou crowd that hypocritically regard marriage as carnal, she begins to pray for ‘a deeper intimacy with the Holy Spirit’— This is hypocrisy in prayer.

And, unfortunately, it is also very common among religious folks. Religious folks tend to be extremely hypocritical; including in their prayers.

There are many reasons for this insincerity, including:

  • The need to be seen as a saint.
  • To avoid being condemned by the holier-than-thou crowd.
  • Ignorance of the generosity of God.

Whatever the reason, Blissful People must shun hypocrisy in prayer. Instead, let us embrace sincerity in prayers.

In our prayers, we must speak the truth from our hearts before God. Let God know exactly what you want.

Don’t compare yourself with someone else, because people are never in the same phases of life.

Someone may be praying for spiritual growth, because that’s what they truly desire. You on the other hand might be in desperate need for a promotion in your job.

Don’t start praying for spiritual growth just because the other fellow is doing that, because you feel your own prayer is carnal, or because you want to appear more spiritual than you are. Otherwise you’ll not be speaking the truth from your heart before God.

Instead, be sincere. Get before God and ask for promotion in your job!

May the Holy Spirit Himself help all His Blissful People To be sincere in prayers. And may He grant our requests today. In Jesus name.

Remember to join Blissful People for Prayer Connect this morning at 11:00am UTC+1, and this evening for Table Tuesday at 06:00pm UTC+1.

The 5 Basic Principles Of Prayer Connect For Blissful People (#2)

On the first day of this season, we started to look at The 5 Basic Principles of Prayer Connect for Blissful People, given to us by the Holy Spirit; things you must understand and become established in, in order to be effective in your prayers.

They are:

  1. God does not find fault with your prayers.
  2. There are different kinds of prayers.
  3. Be sincere in prayer.
  4. Be very clear about what you want.
  5. Be relentless in prayer.

We’ve looked at principle #1.
Let us now move to principle #2:

Principle #2: There are different kinds of prayers.

Ephesians 6:18 NIV
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

‘All kinds of prayers…”
So there are different kinds of prayers.

This is the second principle of Prayer Connect: There are different kinds of prayers. You need to understand this in order to have a more balanced and all-inclusive approach to prayer.

Sometimes, we tend to emphasize some kinds of prayers at the expense of other kinds. We hype and spiritualize some kinds of prayers. Then demonize and criminalize others.

This sort of attitude is not of God. As we saw in the first principle, God does not find fault with our prayers. If anything, He enjoys them and encourages us to come to Him with them.

Furthermore, as we can see from the second principle, there are actually different kinds of prayers.

Different kinds of prayers

Here’s a list of some of the different kinds of prayers. This is not a complete list, but it gives you a picture of what the Lord is saying here.

  • Intimate conversations with God.
  • Praying in tongues.
  • Personal requests— casting your cares upon the Lord; unburdening your heart to the Lord.
  • Intercession—Praying for other people.
  • Spiritual warfare

God values each one of them. He does not find fault with any of them. He answers them all. So we too must have an all inclusive approach to prayer. In other words, we should pray all kinds of prayers as the Spirit leads, and as the occasion demands.

And we must never condemn ourselves in our prayers. Also, we should never condemn others for praying other kinds of prayers.

For instance, one may feel no financial pressures at a certain time, but rather is drawn more into intimate conversations with God. At the same time, another may be overwhelmed by the burden of debt and lack, and consequently is crying out to God for provisions.

In reality, both individuals are precious to God. Their prayers too. They are just praying different kinds of prayers to God.

And now, I pray that our God, Who gives generously to all without finding fault, will grant you all that you ask of Him today. In Jesus name.

The 5 Basic Principles Of Prayer Connect For Blissful People (#1)

Prayer Connect season Three is now on!
Every morning, Aug 31 – Oct 29, by 11:00am UTC+1 I’ll go live on my Facebook page to lead Blissful People in prayers.
The theme for this season of Prayer Connect is ‘RELENTLESS’.
Make sure you join each day. Don’t miss any session.

The Holy Spirit has given me 5 Basic Principles Of Prayer Connect for Blissful People. In order to be effective in prayers, you must understand these 5 principles and become thoroughly established in them.

Here they are:

#1. God does not find fault with your prayers.
#2. There are different kinds of prayers.
#3. Be sincere in prayer.
#4. Be very clear about what you want.
#5. Be relentless in prayer.

Today, we’ll look at the first principle.

#1. God does not find fault with your prayers.

Our God defies all stereotypes. Try as much as we can, we just can’t box Him into any set form. For instance, ponder the following very interesting attribute of His:

Matthew 5:45 NLT
[45] In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

Did you see that? He gives His sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

Isn’t that interesting?

His sunlight and rain represent His blessings. And, clearly, He does not distribute them on the basis of religious affiliations or morality.

Some of us holier-than-thou judgmental folks may not like that. But that’s just the way it is. God is Who He is.

For instance, the richest people on this planet, as far as money goes, are not individuals you would consider ‘born-agains’. If anything, they are usually people ‘born-agains’ would describe as ‘unbelievers’.

Right?

And Jesus Himself tells us why: “For He gives His sunlight to both the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.”

Now, it gets even more interesting. Ponder the following verse:

James 1:5 NIV
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

First of all, He gives generously to all. Not just to some; Not just to the good and the just—to ALL. In other words, He gives generously to the good and the evil, to the just and unjust. His generosity knows no bounds!

Secondly, without finding fault. So, He does not find fault with your prayers. As long as you’ve got that burden weighing down upon your heart, as long as you have those tears streaming through your eyes, turn to Him and He will never turn you away or find fault with your request.

What a good God! What a generous God! He does not find fault with our prayers. Instead, He gives generously to all!

So, why not take advantage of His goodness and generosity! He invites us to call upon Him in the day of trouble and He will answer us.

Knowing today that He gives generously to all without finding faults, make your request known to Him in the comment. Remember, The theme for the season is relentless. So, never ever get tired of making your requests known to God this season—even if you have to type them a million times in a million different ways.
