If You Are Truly Strong

Romans 15:1 NIV
We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.

Each of us has unique strengths in various areas. Some are smart and intelligent. Some are extremely disciplined and self controlled. Some have tremendous patience and endurance. Others have a phenomenal capacity to create wealth. And so on.

Each of us has unique strengths.

Now, if you’re strong in any area, you have a divine responsibility: To help other brethren who are weak in that area.

Your strength is not of your own making. It is a gift from the Lord. It is a privilege. And you should be grateful to God for it and use it to help others.

Some claim to be strong by talking tough and putting down others. But by so doing, they show they’re not. They are rather weak, fearful and insecure.

If you are truly strong, you will not be afraid of the weak. If you’re truly strong, then you do not build walls to isolate yourself from the weak. If you are truly strong, you will reach out to the weak and build them up with love and compassion.

Do not just squander your privileges and advantages on yourself. Instead, use them to help others. The strong should help the weak. The rich should help the poor. And so on.

Finally, remember you are the one being spoken to here. So, discover your strength and use it to help others.

Lord I’m So Sorry. Please Forgive Me

A week ago on my way back to Nigeria from the US, I had a seven hour layover in New York. There was much work to catch up on and, usually, I would use the time to do some work before the long flight home.

This time, however, I decided to hunt down one of our Blissful People who had shown tremendous love and support to this mission since we began. I’ll scramble his details here due to privacy concerns.

I caught up with him in a restaurant where we spent two precious hours together. Like millions of others, he had fallen into the error of overstaying his visa there and was now mired in the murky waters of trying to legalize his stay.

As I asked him about the details of his situation, he told me he knew I would ask, and that I would not approve. Of course! I absolutely discourage people from doing that. If you want to move into any nation, move in with dignity through the front door.

Nevertheless, he had already made up his mind to tell me everything. And he did.

As I was about to give him a piece of my mind —serious rebuke and strong condemnation of his past and ongoing actions—the Holy Spirit stopped me.

“I do not condemn him,” He said, “because I know why he did what he did.”

“What!?” I was taken aback!

“I want to help him get what he wants,” the Lord continued. “And I want you to pray My Favour on him.”

“I sent you here to pray My Favour on him. That’s all I want you to do. Nothing else.”

Well, I looked across the table at the young man. He was looking at me, ready for the verbal whipping that was coming.

Instead I said to him, “God does not condemn you. He knows why you did what you did. And he wants me to pray for you.”

It was at this time that he broke down in the restaurant and started to weep like a baby. I reached out and held his hand.

“Rev,” he sobbed, “my life here has been hell. I’ve been living in hell. But all I want is to help my family. They are all depending on me and I came here to help pull my family out of poverty and suffering.”

That broke my heart—not that he was crying, or that his family was suffering in poverty.

What broke my heart was my own callousness and judgemental attitude; especially in contrast to the compassionate heart of the Hoy Spirit.

I believe that young man will have a phenomenal breakthrough; a testimony that will look like a lie.

Yet, I’m convinced that the Holy Spirit sent me there to convict me of my own judgemental attitude and lack of compassion.

For that, Lord, I’m so sorry. Please forgive me.

Before The End Of This Dancing Season, You Will Give A Shocking Testimony!

The Lord sees the motives and intentions of your heart. He knows exactly why you’re doing what you’re doing. And He understands you.

You see, He doesn’t look at what men look at. Men look at your actions; right or wrong. And they judge you accordingly.

God, however, looks beyond what you did and what you’re doing. He sees your heart. He sees why you’re doing it. He sees that you’re motivated by love. You just want to help your family and those dependent on you.

And that’s why He is on your side. He told me to tell you that He is on your side. He does not condemn you. Instead, He will help you.

You do not see a way out at the moment. You’ve gone about things in the wrong way and made a mess of everything. You’re stuck now in self-condemnation. And you know others are also condemning you.

Now, hear this: There is a way out. You don’t see it. But God sees it. And He’s about to break you out with a phenomenal move of the Holy Spirit in your Favour.

Just watch out! Before the end of this dancing season, you will give a shocking testimony!

What Is The Word Of Your Testimony?

Revelation 12:11 NIV
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

What is the word of your testimony?

Let me put the question in another form: What are you talking about most of the time?

Let me rephrase the question one more time: What are your conversations filled with?

For many it is a litany of their problems. They have become experts at describing their negative situations: How terrible their marriages are; what a horrible person their spouses are; how evil their governments are; how overwhelming their financial conditions are—and on and on and on.

Here’s a reality check: Talking about your problems all the time won’t solve them. Period. Making every conversation revolve around you and what you’re going through means you’re now worshipping those problems; it gives those problems dominion over you and allows them to keep defeating you.

Instead, you can decide to turn your conversations and talks into powerful weapons against the enemies of your destiny. You can fill your mouth with songs, stories, and tales of God’s goodness in your life.

And if you can do that on a consistent basis, if you can delete all the negativism from your mouth and fill it with testimonies and thanksgiving, you will start to see more and more manifestations of divine breakthroughs in your life.

It’s Testimonies Thursday!

Let’s Now Move Beyond Ourselves!

My Blissful People!

Have you noticed that there’s so much violence happening all over the world?

For instance, in Nigeria: lots of killing—clashes between herdsmen and farmers resulting in untold numbers of dead people.

In the US: rapidly increasing incidents of senseless mass murder by lunatics with automatic machines in shopping malls—sending men, women and children to untimely graves.

The same is happening in multiple nations of the world. It’s  getting darker by the minute.

And this darkness is welling up from no other place than the human heart. It comes from the greed, fear and hate that resides in the heart of this black dirt.

And, unfortunately, there are those in the media and leadership who constantly exploit and fuel this fear and hate in order to gain more power and wealth. Their end is near and God will judge them for all the bloodshed they’ve inspired.

In the face of this gathering storm of darkness, what can we do as Blissful People? I believe we can do more than just try to survive. We can shine the light. And we can make a difference. Here’s how:

  1. First of all, we must deepen our relationship with the Holy Spirit by meditating more and more on the words He gives us here in His replies.
  2. Through constantly pondering these words, let us become established in the knowledge that He protects us. That we should never be afraid.
  3. Then we must begin to pray for the peace and prosperity of the lands where we dwell. Encourage those around you to do the same. Pray also for God’s mercy upon those lands that are being ravaged by darkness.
  4. Most importantly, we must ask God to deliver us from selfishness, greed, hate and fear. Ask Him to make us  channels of His love.

Blissful People, the time has come for us to go beyond ourselves. The time has come for us to stop focusing on just our own personal problems and affairs.

It’s time to look beyond all that; to look around us and begin to see ways we can become God’s channel of love, peace and hope to a dying world.

I really don’t care about doctrines or beliefs. Knowledge, principles and wisdom are worthless to me. Believe me, your wealth, achievement and success are just faeces to me.

I’m praying that the Holy Spirit will raise more and more love warriors: selfless courageous men and women filled with love, who are willing to give up their own privileges and lay down their lives for others.

All we have is love. Without it, we’re absolutely nothing.

Connecting Blissful People Worldwide With The Holy Spirit At The Lord’s Table

Hello Blissful People!

It’s Table Tuesday!

Table Tuesday is our newest weekly event. And it’s a very special one. We’ve had two so far. So today will be the third. And the experience has been amazing.

Have you made a Table Tuesday Connect yet?

Have you found one or two other Blissful People in your area and connected with them for Table Tuesdays?

It’s important you do so. Very very important.

Remember, this is how it works.

  1. Find one or two other Blissful People in your area. Agree with them to meet in person on Table Tuesdays for Holy Communion.
  2. On Table Tuesday, prepare your holy Communion materials (Bread and Wine).
  3. Then meet in person with your Blissful People Connect at exactly 6:00pm (Nig), 12:00noon (Louisiana). Time will vary based on your location. But we must all meet at the same time.
  4. During your meeting, go online at the Rev Wildfire Facebook page to connect with me for the Holy Communion Online service. Yes, we are all required to connect at exactly the same time. I will be online then.
  5. Follow my guidance during the Facebook Live Holy Communion Online service.

It is a powerful experience. It’s connecting Blissful People worldwide at the Lord’s Table with the Holy Spirit. It’s a communion of love and divine favours.

Blissful People Table Tuesday Connect @Hammond LA

Do not exempt yourself from this communion. Participate fully and receive your own portion this season.

And, for those connecting in Enugu, I’m there now. If you would love to have me crash your Connect, let me know in your comment.

Let’s Dance Like David Danced!

Good morning my Blissful People!

In this season of dancing, let’s learn from one that excelled in dancing before the Lord. One whose dancing has become legendary, and a model for all.

David.

2 Samuel 6:14 NIV
[14] Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might,

2 Samuel 6:16,20 NIV
[16] As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart.
[20] When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!”

2 Samuel 6:21-22 NIV
[21] David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. [22] I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”

There are a few things I’ll like to point out from his dancing.

#1. He danced before the Lord

It was not a performance on a stage for the entertainment of men. It was not about skill, shape or form. It was before the Lord and for the Lord. Take note of that.

#2. He danced with all his might

He was uninhibited. He had no reservations. He took his dancing to higher and higher levels, and danced with reckless abandon. With all his might. Take note of that.

#3. He was despised for His dancing

He danced until even his own wife despised him for it! In other words, he threw his dignity and royal status into the thrash can!

Let me tell you something: If the mockers haven’t yet despised you for dancing, you’ve not yet started. Take note of that.

#4. He didn’t care about his dignity and what the mockers thought of him

The man didn’t care about the opinion of his wife regarding his dancing. In fact, he told her, “You haven’t seen anything yet! These are just my opening moves! Wait till you see the real dance!”

The ball is now in your court. What are you waiting for?

Let’s dance!!!

Dance Till You Drop!

With God, it’s never the big, visible, spectacular things that matter. Those things matter to humans: Shiny, big, noisy, fast, and so on.

But with God, it’s the little, invisible, silent matters of the heart that matter most:

Selfless, humble, patient
obedience to His Holy Spirit
—things that are rarely noticed by humans, but are of great value before the Lord.

This is our season of delighting in the Lord. And I’ve already told us to dance a lot. This is what the Holy Spirit wants.

Dance!

Spiritual instructions seldom make sense. Which is why most people don’t hear them. And even among those that hear them, only very few act on them.

For instance, Naaman. He was leprous and came to the prophet Elisha for healing. Elisha told him to go and wash in the Jordan river.

The Leprous man however wouldn’t have that! He felt it was beneath his dignity as a general in the Syrian army.

Fortunately for him, he had sensible servants who persuaded him to obey the Lord. And when He did what the prophet told him to do, his leprosy was cured and his skin became like that of a baby.

I pray you don’t take the instructions here lightly. I really pray and strongly hope so.

It’s our season of delighting in the Lord.
Rejoicing in the Lord.
Dancing.

Dance more.
Alone. With your family. In your churches.
And wherever the Spirit moves you.

Turn your church services into dancing fiestas!
Dance all day long! All night long!
Make it a dancing season.

Dance till your calves and ankles hurt.
Dance till your hips hurt.
Dance and scream till every part of your body aches.
Dance till you drop!

And as you dance, watch out!!!
The testimonies this season will absolutely blow your mind!

Your Attention Is On The Line!

A battle is raging right now for your heart; for your affections; for your attention. This battle is not between the Lord and Satan. And it’s not between the Lord and the world.

This battle is between the Lord and your problems.
And you get to choose who will win.
You decide who to give the victory.

The Lord wants your attention and focus.
Your problems want them too.

So, who is going to win?
Will you give the victory to the Lord?
Or will you give the victory to your problems?

Who will ultimately prevail in this battle for your focus, for your energies, for your attention?

As for me, my choice is clear: I refuse to give my energies to my problems. I refuse to give my focus and attention to my issues.

A million times No.

I’ll rather give all my attention and focus to the Lord. This is what it means to up your game. This is what it means to go from crumbs to the Lord’s Table. This is what it means to rejoice in the Lord and to delight in Him.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 NLT
[17]Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, [18] yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

No matter what, I will rejoice in the Lord!
What about you?

Continue To Be Faithful

You have chosen to delight in Me. You receive my words with humility and trembling. You have been faithful and obedient even when it’s not convenient.

Soon you won’t be able to keep up with the flow of My supernatural favours and blessings in every area of your life.

Soon you won’t have enough room to contain all that I AM starting to pour into your life.

I have seen your faithfulness. I have seen the pain you have borne in love for me. They are not in vain. And soon your reward will cause men to envy you.

I am a Faithful God. And I show Myself faithful to those that are faithful. Soon, you will see My faithfulness in your life like never before.

Psalm 18:25 NIV
To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless,

Continue to be faithful, even in honoring Me with your wealth and the firstfruits of all your Increase. For very soon, your barns will be filled to plenty, and your storehouses will overflow with my abundance.

Delight Yourself In The Lord

Good morning my Blissful People, and welcome to a brand new season. The season of His delight. The season of taking pleasure in the Lord; deriving our fun from Him; finding our happiness in Him.

Psalm 43:4 NIV
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.

This season will be special. Really special. For those of us that chose to delight ourselves in the Lord.

Your pleasures, fun or happiness must never come from food, sex, alcohol, clothings, work, friends, and all other worldly chaff.

Instead, let your pleasures come strictly from the Lord Himself. Seek your pleasures in Him alone. Let Him be your happiness.

If you will delight yourself in the Lord, you will relentlessly pursue intimacy with Him. This will grow into intercourse with Him. And then you will bear much fruit for Him on this earth.

Therefore, my Blissful People everywhere, let us strive this season towards delighting ourselves only in the Lord.

Remember, today is Testimonies Thursday. And what a lovely way to start a brand new month. Please take time to share your testimonies in the comments.

What’s Dancing Got To Do With My Breakthrough?

Yesterday I told us to dance—to praise the Lord in the dance.

It’s an ongoing instruction. Bring more joy, laughter, shouting, jumping, dancing in your life.

Stop being too serious and carrying your problems on your face.

Life is like a river. It’s fluid and flowing. It’s fleeting and passing. Don’t waste it with worries.

Like I told us yesterday, don’t wait for all your problems to go away before you can start playing and dancing. It’s all about making the choice and sticking to it no matter what.

And you know, lots of times the instructions of the Holy Spirit don’t make any sense. You might be wondering, what’s dancing got to do with my breakthrough?

Well, find out! Do the thing and you will see the power.

Naaman the leprous Syrian general was told to wash seven times in the muddy Jordan River. He threw a fit for a while. Fortunately saner minds prevailed and he did it.

He came out like a baby! Leprosy completely gone.

What are you even waiting for?
Start dancing and keep dancing!

When Was The Last Time You Danced?

When was the last time you danced? When was the last time you jumped, swirled, shouted with joy? When was the last time you really took time to move joyfully and make a joyful noise? And when was the last time you played like a child?

You may think these questions are weird. They may sound weird to you.

However, listen today to the Holy Spirit. Because I can hear strange sounds. Sounds coming from heaven.

The Lord wants you to dance!
Yes! Dance!

Psalm 149:3 KJV
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Find someone to dance with. And if you can’t find anyone, then dance all by yourself.

Make joyful noise. Swirl around! Jump! Clap! Shout!

Don’t wait for everything to be ok first. Because that’s not how it works.
Ignore your problems and rejoice! Yes, rejoice!

I won’t say why.
Just do it!

I Chose Joy!

Nehemiah 8:10 NIV
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The joy of the Lord is your strength.

I look at it this way: In a race, battle, journey or any activity, if you take away the strength of a person, he or she will start to lose. That person won’t be able to do anything anymore. They’ll simply become weak and useless.

Ultimately, they’ll fail.

Satan understands this very well. In our case he knows what our strength is.

The joy of the Lord.

He knows that in order to defeat you, all he has to do is to take away your strength—that is, your joy.

So, He attacks your joy relentlessly in order to keep you weak and defeated.

He attacks your joy by pointing you to your challenging circumstances: your bills; your rent; your debts; your lack.

He attacks your joy by reminding you of your past mistakes: Your sins; your flaws; the shameful things you’ve done in the past.

He attacks your joy by poisoning your mind with the negative things other people have said about you; how they’ve rejected you; how they’ve treated you.

And if he has his way, you plunge into sadness, discouragement and defeat.

This is why I protect my joy. This is why I choose joy. And this is why the Holy Spirit tells us to rejoice in Him always!

Philippians 4:4 NIV
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Declare this right now:

I chose joy. I will never let Satan or anyone steal my joy. I will rejoice in the Lord always.

This New Chapter Will Be Even More Glorious

The ground beneath your feet may seem like it’s falling apart right now. This season may seem tough, difficult and unending. Your plans seem not to be working out at all.

Your hopes are taking so long to mature and come through. Things that have been working so far, things you’ve been depending on seem to be fading away fast.

You’re scared. You’re afraid. You don’t see any hopes anywhere. You’re even too scared to quit. Because you have nothing to fall back on.

Well, God is smiling at you. He says you should not be afraid.

All that’s happening right now is that this chapter is closing. And a new chapter is opening. This new chapter will be even more glorious than the one you’ve been trying to prolong.

Trust God. He’s got you. Trust His wisdom. Trust His process.

You will yet flourish. You will yet prosper. So, smile and move forward with hope.

Happy Two Year Anniversary!

Good morning Blissful People!

Today marks exactly two years since the first Prayer Connect!

Two years ago, July 27, 2017, the Holy Spirit told me to go live on Facebook to pray for people. And so started the life-transforming phenomenon we now know as Prayer Connect; which in turn birthed the Blissful People family we’ve all come to love.

A lot has happened since then.

I’m humbled by what the Lord has done so far through that timid, fearful and imperfect obedience to Him two years ago.

Today, as we commemorate the second year of this journey, I’m most grateful to the Lord for helping us stay stay the course this far.

I’m grateful to Him for each one of you: My Blissful People. You’ve made these two years some of my most blissful.

I thank God for the Blissful People Pastors, Blissful People Caregivers, and Blissful People Volunteers. Without your love, support and faithfulness, we would never have made it this far.

I do not yet know what the next two years of our journey together will look like. No one knows. Only the Holy Spirit. But, knowing how much He loves us, we can expect nothing but the very best.

Now, to commemorate our two year anniversary, I request that each of us rewatch the very first Prayer Connect broadcast below. As you watch it, please join me to appreciate the Holy Spirit for how far He has brought us.

Do not fail to leave your own anniversary message, prayers, prophecies and well wishes for Prayer Connect and Blissful People.

May You Eat The Best Of Your Lands!

For so many days now, the Holy Spirit has been speaking this scripture to me. And today He wants me to give it to you:

Isaiah 1:19 NIV
[19] If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;

Regardless of where you are right now, there are good things in your land. And I am convinced that the Lord wants you to have the best of whichever land you occupy.

But you need to be willing and obedient. So, pray with me:

  • Dear Holy Spirit, help me to receive Your word in my heart.
  • Help me to believe Your words with all my heart.
  • Help me to obey your words with all my heart.
  • Help me be persistent in obeying your words with all my heart.
  • And may your words bear a thousand fold harvest in my life.

In Jesus name!

And with a willing and obedient heart, send in your Favour Friday offerings, tithes, seeds, firstfruits and so on.

God Is Doing Amazing Things Among Us

Hello Blissful People!

It’s another Testimonies Thursday! And God is doing some really amazing things among us.

Last Saturday, we baptized one of our Blissful People in Hammond, LA: Amanda Cunningham.

Rev Wildfire and Rodney Ekinia Baptizing Amanda Cunningham at the Tangipahoa River, LA

She’s got an awesome testimony: The Holy Spirit completely delivered her from the grip of darkness; and now she’s joyfully craving more and more of the Lord!

Then on Tuesday we had our very first Table Tuesday!

A good number of you were able to find and connect with other Blissful People in your city for the communion service. Others joined alone, for now.

Then, together with Pastor Sommer and Brody from our US Mission Center, I personally crashed the connect of Alisha Osterhomm and Brittany Olivier at the Gazebo Park, Hammond LA. From there we broadcast the communion service on Facebook Live.

Rev Wildfire with Blissful People—Brody Fziber, Pastor Sommer Addison, Brittany Olivier and Alisha Osterhomm—at the Table Tuesday communion service, Gazebo Park, Hammond LA.

It was really awesome! To God alone be all the glory.

Now, let’s read from you. What has the Holy Spirit been up to in your life? Share your testimony in the comment.

God’s Got Some Really Pleasant Surprises Ahead Of You!

My Blissful People, may the peace of God always guard your heart from the cares of this life. And may His joy always fill your heart each and every moment of your day. In Jesus name.

I am convinced that your future is bright. Your best life and experiences lie ahead of you. So don’t be afraid of what tomorrow may bring.

In fact, don’t take any thought about tomorrow. Don’t even think of it. God’s got it.

Your tomorrow doesn’t depend on your present circumstances.

What I mean is this, don’t look at your failures today and then think, “Oh I have failed, and my future is hopeless.”

No. God’s got your future. God decides your future.

Your job, your educational qualifications, your family background and connections and anything else you have or don’t have today are insignificant. Don’t let any of these things decide your hope.

Put all your hope in God. He sees the end from the beginning.

No one can predict your tomorrow just by looking at your today. Not even you can predict your tomorrow. Life is full of surprises.

And God’s got some really pleasant surprises for you in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

From Crumbs To The Lord’s Table (Part 3)

Hello Blissful People!

It begins today! Our very first Table Tuesday! The start of our metamorphosis from crumbs to the Lord’s Table.

First of all, as you ponder today’s teaching, I pray that you will fully grasp the distinction between the crumbs that fall from the Master’s Table, and the main meal.

Matthew 15:21-28 NIV
[21] Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. [22] A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” [23] Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” [24] He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” [25] The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. [26] He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” [27] “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” [28] Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

During His earthly ministry, Jesus made it clear He was sent only to the Jews. Not to the Gentiles.

This woman was a Gentile. So, she was not part of those Jesus was sent to at that time. This was why Jesus ignored her in verse 23, and indirectly referred to her as a dog in verse 26.

Jesus was not in anyway trying to be nasty to the woman. Absolutely not. If anything, He was looking for a way to help her even though she wasn’t a part of His Mission target at the time.

You see, before Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross to reconcile all mankind to God, the Gentiles were not even considered a people!

Ephesians 2:11-12 NIV
[11] Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— [12] remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

So this woman was not a part of God’s Covenant at the time. She was not eligible for what she was asking for.

However, she had the faith and wisdom to ask for the crumbs. And, thankfully, Jesus granted her request.

So, really, the saying ought to be, “Healing is the crumb from the Master’s Table.”

Now, if healing is merely the crumbs that fall from the Master’s Table, what then is the Lord’s Table? What is on it? What happens there? And how do we feast on it?

The Lord’s Table: What is on it?

1 Corinthians 10:21 NIV
[21] You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

The Lord’s Table refers to the Holy Communion.

The Lord’s Table: What is on it?

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NIV
[23] For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, [24] and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” [25] In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” [26] For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

There are two precious mysteries on the Lord’s Table; representing two Persons:

  1. The Bread: Jesus Christ.
  2. The Cup: The New Covenant: The Holy Spirit.

The Lord’s Table: What happens there?

What happens at the Table is intimacy with God. Fellowship.

Unfortunately, many are fascinated and preoccupied with the crumbs: Miracles. Signs and wonders. Material blessings.

Instead of the true bread of life: Jesus Christ Himself.

John 6:51 NIV
[51] I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

But, it’s time to up your game. It’s time to stop chasing the crumbs and take our place at the Table. It’s time to stop feeding on crumbs and start feasting at the Lord’s Table.

As we eat today at the Lord’s Table, May our focus shift from crumbs to Him. May we stop chasing after signs and wonders, and start chasing after Him with all our hearts.

In Jesus name may we go beyond begging for the gifts, and start fellowshipping with the Giver.
