I had a simple but extraordinary experience during this Wednesday’s midweek service at The Holy Place. It happened during the offering time—one of those awareness that shifts your perspective in a very powerful way.
I usually give a certain amount of money during each service. Like, I feel ‘at my level’, I shouldn’t give below a certain amount. And, usually, whenever I don’t have that amount, I wouldn’t give. Instead I’ll wait till whenever I have that or more, then I’ll give it—even if it means giving in arrears.
Now, during the said moment, I didn’t have my normal amount to give. And I felt what I had was too little; that it was beneath me.
Imagine that! How ridiculous!
Anyway, I wasn’t going to give.
Immediately, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Be Relentless In your giving. Be persistent. Always give, no matter the amount.”
Then He used this quote from Martin Luther King Jr to make it clearer to me:
“If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”
Martin Luther King Jr.
And He rephrased it like this to me: “If you can’t give a hundred thousand, then give ten thousand. If you can’t give ten thousand, then give a thousand. If you can’t give a thousand, then give a hundred. But whatever you do, you have to keep giving.”
It blew my mind. But it has changed everything about how I give. He made it clear to me that God loves persistence in prayer, in fasting, in thanksgiving, in love and in giving.
And He urged me this morning to share this message with all His Blissful People. Every Favour Friday, give. Be persistent in your Favour Friday giving. Be relentless in it.
“If you can’t give a hundred thousand on Favour Friday, then give ten thousand. If you can’t give ten thousand, then give a thousand. If you can’t give a thousand, then give a hundred. But whatever you do, you have to keep giving.”
Today is Financial Favour Friday!
Every Financial Favour Friday offering is a Love Gift to the Holy Spirit.
So, give blissfully and generously!
