Be As Weird As You Can For Jesus

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people ; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.”
~1 Peter 2:9(KJV)

While on a Missions trip to the United States, I once said something on an American radio station. I said that I’m only interested in people who are interested in my God. If I’m talking with someone who feels he has no need for God, then the person can go to hell. You might be an unbeliever, but you honor God, and you’re thirsty for God, that’s a different scenario. But if you’re an unbeliever who disdains the things of God, then you’re despicable to me.  You’re just pathetic. I sincerely can’t find enough words to describe how loathsome you are to me.

“‘Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing and I will receive you.’ ‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’”
~2 Corinthians 6:17-18

As God’s child, preserve your godly distinction. Why in the world should you care to impress the world? Understand that the world doesn’t deserve you.  So lift up your shoulders high, raise your head, and be as weird as you can for Jesus. And give no damn what any unbeliever thinks about you. Walk in your distinction, and steer clear of ungodly influences that try to blur the lines.

Memory Verse:
1 Peter 2:9(KJV)
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people ; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you that I’m different from the world. Strengthen me to walk in my divine distinction, and be as weird as I can for Jesus, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
