Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.

Bible study, including the public reading of scriptures, is very important to me. As a little boy in the house of my dad, he trained us —and provided innumerable opportunities for us — to publicly read, collectively study, memorize and internalize the scriptures.

Furthermore, I came up through the Children’s Evangelism Ministries where our teachers and leaders focused our minds on the scriptures.

I consider raw, in-depth scripture readings and studies to be essential to spiritual growth.
