GENESIS 13:14-15 NLT | “AFTER LOT HAD GONE, THE LORD SAID TO ABRAM, “LOOK AS FAR AS YOU CAN SEE IN EVERY DIRECTION—NORTH AND SOUTH, EAST AND WEST. I AM GIVING ALL THIS LAND, AS FAR AS YOU CAN SEE, TO YOU AND YOUR DESCENDANTS AS A PERMANENT POSSESSION.”

Over the years, whenever this scripture is read, it’s thought that you should imagine with your mind. Think with your brain. Dwell on what you’ve thought about. Believe it wholeheartedly. Then magic, it will happen. Not so fast. Because Precious Holy Spirit has opened our eyes to see as He sees and unravel His own intentions.

You are not meant to labour to enter God’s rest. You are not meant to think or imagine what God wants you to see. Rather, you need to acknowledge the Holy Spirit in your life and ask Him to open your spiritual eyes just like King David did, so you can see what is hidden and access spiritual mysteries.

PSALMS 119:18 AMP | “OPEN MY EYES [TO SPIRITUAL TRUTH] SO THAT I MAY BEHOLD WONDERFUL THINGS FROM YOUR LAW.”

This is a huge challenge for some of us because we’ve been taught to always think, be busy at all times and make it at any cost. And as a result, we are hasty and miss the way. But fear not because Jesus is here to deliver and save.

MARK 8:23-25 NLT | “JESUS TOOK THE BLIND MAN BY THE HAND AND LED HIM OUT OF THE VILLAGE. THEN, SPITTING ON THE MAN’S EYES, HE LAID HIS HANDS ON HIM AND ASKED, “CAN YOU SEE ANYTHING NOW?” THE MAN LOOKED AROUND. “YES,” HE SAID, “I SEE PEOPLE, BUT I CAN’T SEE THEM VERY CLEARLY. THEY LOOK LIKE TREES WALKING AROUND.” THEN JESUS PLACED HIS HANDS ON THE MAN’S EYES AGAIN, AND HIS EYES WERE OPENED. HIS SIGHT WAS COMPLETELY RESTORED, AND HE COULD SEE EVERYTHING CLEARLY.”

Hallelujah! Just as the Lord made sure the blind man could see clearly via a second touch, He is doing the same for you. Your spiritual eyes are bursting open so you can access the hidden mysteries in Christ Jesus.

In addition, did you notice a similar occurrence in both scriptures. The revelation Abraham received from the Lord came after Lot had left his life. Before Jesus opened the eyes of the blind man, He led him out of the village. There was a clear ‘calling out from’ in both instances. It means there are deep dimensions of God He can only reveal to you when you come out from among the crowd, mind the company you keep, protect your associations and consecrate yourself completely to Him.

It’s not an easy feat but God will help, empower and lead you to that glorious place where you fully access the riches and wealth in knowing Him and see everything very clearly just as He sees in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
