Are You Pleasing to God?

What does it mean to be successful?

Have you noticed that even the pulpit today is confused on this matter. I mean, Christian leaders are now competing with demonic celebrities for who has the most twitter followers. Goodness! Such silliness!

As I pointed out in The True Meaning of Success success is not a matter of earthly accomplishments; it’s a matter of God’s approval and commendation. It happened for Jesus when the Father said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” The true meaning of success is that the Father commends you as pleasing in His sight. Any other thing you achieve apart from this is just another mound of dung.

If you are in Christ, I’m glad you are reading this post today. Now, get off that worldly treadmill and discover yourself. Stop chasing after this world’s illusions. You should never be a part of the rat race. Jesus Christ has set you free. Now, embrace that freedom in your mind and begin to walk in it.

And if you are a minister of the Gospel, be careful. Stop presenting worldly values before people as success. Stop stirring God’s children from your pulpit to chase after the same things that this doomed world is chasing. Haven’t you noticed that your members have now become worldly? It is sad today that after attending an average church service, most folks emerge greedier than Shylock, because someone on the pulpit does not understand what true success means.

May God break the spell of this world’s illusions on your heart and mind, in Jesus name.

Now, reflect on this:
“As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
~ Matthew 3:16,17
