Are You Moving?

In different Christian circles I would always hear them talk about a ‘move of God’. Honestly, I say it as well. But recently I have really thought a lot about that saying. I will share my thoughts with you today.

My first thoughts are; is God ever not moving? I want you to think of a river for a moment. Does a river ever stop moving? Or the ocean? Really, they don’t, they are fluid and continue to move. So I think God is always moving.

I know what people are trying to say, they have had some type of experience with Him and that He is doing something in their lives. But if God is always moving and you are only having experiences every once in a while, then who has stopped? If it’s not God then it must be you.

If you imagine God is the river and it’s always moving and you want to keep moving with the river then you must stay in the river. It is possible to get out of the flow of the river and once you do you become still and stagnant. No one wants that. So you must stay in the river.

So if God is always moving as I discussed earlier, then it’s you that must stay in the river. So the question is: Are you moving? Are you in the River?

Ezekiel‬ ‭47:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬| “Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.

Here are a few things that will help you to get back into the flow of the river and stay there.

1.) Complete surrender to Holy Spirit.

2.) Remain thankful in all things.

3.) Continue to give. Become a channel of blessing.

John 7:38| “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.””

Today ask Holy Spirit to keep you in the river so you can continue to move and flow with God. In that way you will become a channel of blessing to your world.
