Exodus 17:6 | “‘I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.’ So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.”
Numbers 20:8 | “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”
The journey of the Israelites from Egypt to Canaan is filled with so much lessons. In Exodus 17:6, the Source God told Moses to strike the rock. Moses obeyed and water came out. Fast forward to Numbers 20:8, you see the same Source God talk to the same Moses about bringing water again from the rock. However, this time the instruction changes to speak to the rock. If only Moses had spoken to the rock instead of striking the second time, he would have made it to the Promised Land.
Actions matter, but it has to be the right actions. Always keep in step with the Holy Spirit to know what to do per time. Yesterday’s instructions may not deliver today’s miracles. Unless the Holy Spirit instructs you to repeat yesterday’s instructions, be sensitive to know what He wants you to do today to manifest that miracle. Bliss be with you.
